MFD has considerable experience in the provision of ‘front end’ services to clients, to assist them in objectively appraising the various accommodation alternatives.
The MFD approach is always tailored to suit the specific needs of the individual client, but as part of our services we will:
- understand and develop the client’s accommodation requirements
- compile a schedule of requirements
- assist in the selection of a ‘long list’ of accommodation alternatives
- prepare an appraisal of each property to broadly assess the spatial arrangement, fit, specification, condition, configuration, suitability of building components and services etc
- liaise and co-ordinate with solicitors and property agents to ensure that legal and commercial issues are addressed
- assess the optimum programme for the works
- recommend the appropriate procurement route
- manage the production of a construction and operation cost plan
- agree selection criteria and weighting factors with the client and compile an option appraisal report
- assess the need for detailed specialist surveys, manage their implementation and recommend any necessary remedial actions.
