The RSMF exists to advance the effective management of risk as it relates to all areas of security. Uniquely, it has a broad-based membership, from both the public and private sectors and draws upon its members? proven, relevant experience to identify and communicate the effective management of risk as it relates to security. It seeks to develop innovative and exclusive ways of identifying, analysing, assessing, managing, controlling and responding to risk so as to promote and promulgate at senior executive level the benefits of effective risk and security management.

Membership of the RSMF is by invitation only, and limited to 64 members.
