The Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body undertook a review of their security procedures and security equipment throughout the new parliament complex. As an outcome of that review it was acknowledged that improvements could be made in certain respects, and MFD was engaged to provide hostile vehicle mitigation to a part of the complex.
MFD has recently contributed towards a revised Government document which addresses the terrorist threat to the UK and its overseas interests.
MFD is currently supporting the British Standards Institute, who is working with the CPNI to create a Publicly Available Specification (PAS) giving requirements and guidance for mail screening and security.
The Director General of the Security Service, Jonathan Evans, formally launched the Register of Security Engineers and Specialists on 20th January in London.
